I live in rural New South Wales, Australia, about 30 minutes drive from the National Capital Canberra. The weather is variable, but the climate is relatively stable with cold winters and warm summers.
I guess I better define Garden, just in case anyone is imagining a pristine created suburban environment, which this is not.
Garden: An area where the grass and other plants are maintained by people, not by sticking the sheep or goats into the paddock. Most of the plants are pretty tough and apart from a few shrubs etc there is not much difference between it and the other paddocks (apart from also having a house in it).
Our home is a 90 acre grazing property populated by many native species as well as the domestic livestock (goats, sheep, cows and horses).
Sometimes it is dry and brown.
In winter it is often foggy and frosty in the morning.
Occasionally it even snows.
At the moment it is pretty wet, but at least it is green.
